What is TCM?

TCM stands for Traditional Chinese Medicine. Many qigong, taijiquan and postural requirements help improve the flow of qi. In this page, we will briefly look at some concepts. Please note that there is nothing esoteric about TCM, qigong or taijiquan! Acupuncture is also not voodoo or black magic!
Common terms

Laogong - this acupuncture point is located in the palm. You should be able to feel warmth in this area of your palms, for example when you do the pulling qi movement.

Sanjiao (triple  warmer) - in TCM, triple refers to the three warmers in the body. (You can ignore the literal meaning of warmers!) Upper, middle and lower warmers. Upper warmer (shangjiao) helps regulate respiratoon, while the middle warmer (zhongjiao) helps regulate some digestion, and the lower warmer (xiajiao) helps deal with excretion, reproduction, transportation of nutrients, etc. The first movement in baduanjin, where you have interlock your fingers and raise them from the navel to the sky is beneficial for the sanjiao.

Yin and yang. In practical terms, yang can refer to vigorous while yin can refer to gentle. For example, kickboxing, karate, weightlifting are exercises that can be classified as more yang (vigorous). If your work does not involve much physical labour, then these exercises within limits, could help to balance your energy. On the other hand, if you are generally lethargic and easily tired, then these exercises are perhaps too vigorous and you should start with something more gentle such as taijiquan, baduanjin or walking.

In practical terms, we also want to balance the energy in the body. In TCM, there are some signs which indicate imbalance of energy. So, if you practise taijiquan and qigong you should be on the lookout for these signs : insomnia, headache, dizziness, dry throat, red eyes,  cold hands and feet, etc. If you have practised CORRECTLY, your throat should be moist after your practice session. Ditto for the other signs.

Notifying Visitors of Site Enhancements
Another idea for my home page's text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site. For example, I want visitors to sign my guestbook or fill out my survey Form E-mailer to answer questions about my site, my business, or my site's topic.

Getting Rich QuickFrom My Site!
I might not want a large amount of text on my home page if I want to guide visitors toward my other pages. Instead of text, I can add others' buttons to this first page, and I'll be rewarded for people who click on the buttons. For example, if a visitor signs up for a Visa using the NextCard button on my site, I earn at least $20!
